FG Announce Public Holidays for Christmas & New Year Celebrations

FG Announce Christmas and New Year Celebration’s Public Holidays.

The Federal Government has declared Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th December 2017 as Public Holidays to mark Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations. Also, Monday 1st January, 2018 has been declared as public holiday for New Year celebration.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, Nigerians are urged to strengthen their resolve to maintain peace and unity in the country.

Dambazau enjoined the Christian faithful and all Nigerians to use the period in praying earnestly for the betterment and development of Nigeria. He further urged all Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its determination in improving the quality of life of Nigerians.
